Position Overview

Responsibilities:

• Execution of assigned tasks and duties with a focus on safe work practices and high-quality workmanship.

• Adherence to standards and best practices in maintenance and repair of mechanical systems.

• Troubleshooting and repair of equipment causing or contributing to safety, quality, downtime, or productivity issues.

• Execution of proactive maintenance plans on assigned equipment, including preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and condition maintenance.

• Communication of findings and recommendations to operations and maintenance leadership.

• Collaboration with Reliability Tech B's, A's, and Leads in installation and removal of general mechanical systems.

• Maintenance of manufacturing process and support equipment to highest, reasonable performance levels.

Requirements:

• Safety practices, including LOTO, Confined Space, PPE, PIT, Fall Protection, Hoisting & Rigging, and Hot Work.

• Calculator and computer application skills, including work order documentation and parts requisitioning.

• Measurement units, techniques, and application of appropriate tools.

• Math skills, including arithmetic, application of formulas, and conversion of measurement units.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics and make simple sketches.

• Identification and proper use of tools, focused on selection of the right tool for work assignment application.

• Proper storage and handling techniques for lubricants.

• Power transmission component types, terms, operation, and maintenance.

• Plumbing/piping conveyance system types, terms, operation, and maintenance.

• Precision alignment techniques for indirect coupled elements, including laser alignment.

• Basic troubleshooting of mechanical systems.

• Common cause failure modes and correction of mechanical systems.
