Position Overview

Medical City Healthcare is in search of a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room. This role is vital in delivering exceptional care to our young patients in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rapidly assess and prioritize incoming pediatric patients.
  • Conduct thorough nursing evaluations and stabilize patients as needed.
  • Deliver direct nursing care while supervising non-licensed staff within the RN's scope of practice.
  • Provide patient education and follow-up care instructions, ensuring necessary referrals are made.

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (ASN) from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners. Compact license accepted.
  • Associate Degree; BSN required within a specified timeframe.
  • Current BLS certification from an accredited provider.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification to be obtained within a designated period.
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course completion required shortly after employment.
  • PALS certification must be obtained within a specified timeframe.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course completion required within a designated period.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in an Emergency Room setting is preferred, with pediatric experience being advantageous.
