Job Overview

Our client, a leading manufacturer in the commercial landscaping sector, is seeking a skilled Irrigation Systems Technician to support their operations.

The ideal candidate will be tasked with the upkeep and servicing of advanced irrigation pump stations and water management solutions throughout the region.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Employ hand and power tools, along with computer systems, for the thorough servicing and maintenance of sophisticated irrigation pump stations, including hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical components (VFDs, PLCs, pumps/motors).
  • Utilize precise measuring and diagnostic tools to identify issues within mechanical and electrical systems, consulting electrical schematics for accurate troubleshooting.
  • Effectively communicate with clients and the Service Department, addressing inquiries to understand their challenges and requirements. Clearly articulate technical problems, document work performed, and suggest additional services as needed.
  • Travel to client locations in a fully equipped vehicle, ensuring proper inventory management of tools and parts.
  • Complete digital Work Orders on-site, documenting relevant information such as images and measurements.
  • Proactively identify issues using our advanced remote monitoring software.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must maintain a drug-free workplace.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check (including criminal history, DMV, and credit).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with mechanical or electrical systems (e.g., automotive, electronics, computers).
  • Must possess a clean driving record.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in a warm climate.
  • Diving certification is advantageous.
