About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cashier Associate at Michaels Stores. As a Cashier Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experiences for customers
  • Operate a cash register accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor and stockroom
  • Assist customers with finding products and answering questions
  • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays
  • Process customer transactions and handle returns and exchanges
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
