Key Responsibilities:- Transport lab-related supplies, equipment, and specimens accurately and efficiently.
- Identify patients and collect specimens in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Process specimens and apply barcode labels prior to delivery to specific lab departments for testing.
- Perform venipunctures, finger sticks, heel sticks, and assist physicians with bone marrow collection, point of care glucose, and iSTAT testing in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Answer telephone calls in a polite and efficient manner.
- Work as part of a team with Pathology and NMHS employees.
- Accurately report point of care testing results in a timely manner.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Compliance with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guidelines/regulations/laws/statutes.
