Tugboat Master

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tugboat Master to join our team at Foss Maritime. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating tugboats and towing vessels in various marine environments.

About the Role:

• Safely operate tugboats and towing vessels in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
• Ensure timely and efficient completion of towing operations while maintaining a high level of safety standards.
• Collaborate with captains, engineers, and other crew members to ensure smooth vessel operations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-departure checks and ensure all necessary equipment is on board.
• Maintain accurate records of towing operations, including cargo manifests and vessel condition reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and regulatory bodies as required.

Requirements:

• Valid USCG Merchant Mariner Document or Merchant Mariner Credential.
• Minimum 200 GT Mate upon Oceans License with Mate of Towing Vessels upon Oceans and STCW 2010.
• Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and at night.

Compensation:

$88k - $115k per year, depending on experience.
