Busser Assistant

At Hudson Grille, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Busser to join our service team. As a Busser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an exceptional dining experience.

• Set up and stock service stations with necessary supplies, including roll-ups, take-out containers, condiments, and miscellaneous guest service items.
• Maintain beverage service stations throughout the shift, ensuring sufficient amounts of brewed tea, coffee, house lemonade, and ice bin upkeep.
• Pre-bus tables during meal service by removing dishes and items no longer in use, maintaining well-groomed table tops.
• Set and reset tables according to restaurant table top set-up schematics and guidelines.
• Transport dirty dishes, glassware, and silverware to the dishwashing area and properly off-load and sort items for cleaning.
• Practice full hands-in and full hands-out transporting clean dishware from the kitchen to FOH service areas and the bar.
• Assist in maintaining restroom cleanliness, restock toiletries, and remove trash.
• Execute all position responsibilities in the spirit of proactive teamwork and cooperation.
• Check out with management at the conclusion of the shift to ensure all duties and sidework have been completed to standard.
• Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned.

• Demonstrate a helpful, positive attitude when interacting with fellow employees, management, and guests.
• Understand and adhere to all safety, sanitation, and administrative procedures.
• Ability to understand and follow directions from others in English.
• Ability to calculate basic math and unit conversion functions.
• Possess the physical stamina to stand working for up to 10 hours.
• Able to move items up to 50 pounds for distances of up to 25 feet.
• Comfortable working in an environment that may experience significant temperature changes.
