Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team at International Leadership of Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, processing accounts payable, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable invoices, requisitions, purchase orders, receipts, and vendor information in a timely manner.
  • Verify invoices and purchase orders for completeness and accuracy prior to payment.
  • Detect and resolve problems with incorrect orders, invoices, and shipments as needed.
  • Input data into the accounting system.
  • Prepare correspondence, forms, manuals, reports, and payment authorizations following district standards and requirements.
  • Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required.
  • Maintain vendor files and set up new accounts and make changes as they occur.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to incoming calls, answer questions, and direct calls to the proper party.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Associates Degree preferred.
  • Two years of accounting-related experience at a clerical level.
  • Skyward experience preferred.

Working Conditions:

The Accounting Specialist will work in a standard office environment with prolonged sitting, occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. The position requires frequent keyboarding and use of a mouse, occasional reaching, and light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds). The Accounting Specialist may work prolonged or irregular hours.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Mental Demands:

The Accounting Specialist must be able to work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress, and communicate effectively.
