Position Overview:
Golden Heights Healthcare is actively seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to manage the care of residents/patients during their shifts. The successful candidate will be dedicated to maintaining high standards of care, ensuring the safety of residents/patients, and supervising nursing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts regular assessments of resident/patient conditions and ensures compliance with nursing protocols.
- Facilitates nursing handovers at the start and conclusion of shifts.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization in designated work and care areas.
- Monitors and replenishes medical supplies as needed.
- Adheres to established policies, procedures, and State Nurse Practice Act regulations.
- Reviews and updates care plans to ensure they meet the needs of residents/patients.
- Communicates any changes in resident/patient conditions to management promptly.
- Accurately transcribes physician orders.
- Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Documents all pertinent information in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Conducts controlled substance counts and reports any discrepancies.
- Ensures medication storage complies with relevant regulations.
- Upholds HIPAA standards for the privacy and security of health information.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in good standing is required.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
- Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices is preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge of nursing practices, medical procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
