Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Spaulding Hospital-Boston & Cambridge(SRN,SRH,SHC). As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform waived and non-waived testing in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures.
  • Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting, and maintaining records of patient test results.
  • Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations, and maintenance performed.
  • Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and either correct the problems or immediately notify the general supervisor, technical supervisor, clinical consultant, or director.
  • Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in laboratory science or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited college or university.
  • ASCP certification or equivalent (e.g., AMT).
  • Clinical Laboratory experience 0-2 years.
