Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project/Task Manager to join our team at First Division Consulting. This is a contingent position that requires a strong background in project management and leadership.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day direction to a team of subordinates, providing expert functional guidance, and interfacing with government management to resolve problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish priorities of work to subordinates based on government goals and objectives.
  • Interface between government customer and contractor.
  • Perform other PM direct support functional roles.
  • Distribute and balance workload in accordance with established workflows and assure timely accomplishment of assigned workload.
  • Provide on-the-job training to new employees in accordance with established procedures and practices.
  • Lead the team in assessing its strengths and weaknesses and provide leadership to the team in exploring alternatives and determining improvements.
  • Articulate and communicate to the team the assignment, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, suspenses, and time frames for completion.
  • Assign work to personnel according to workload, ability, and priority of assignment.
  • Provide instruction and assistance as necessary on problems or issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or IT-related discipline.
  • 20+ years of experience.
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills for larger teams.
  • Demonstrated experience working with senior government officials and Contracting Officer Representatives.
  • Secret clearance required.
