Registered Nurse, Per Diem, Aspen

Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse at Pine Rest, you will be part of a tight-knit team that believes in the healing power of your expertise and compassion.
Responsibilities- Assess patients' care needs and develop a plan of care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
- Provide nursing care to individuals and groups of patients, collaborating with physicians as needed.
- Teach patients and their families about discharge and aftercare planning, and provide milieu management.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for patients and staff in individual and group settings.
- Document, report, and verify all necessary information according to established policies and procedures.
- Monitor for and report any potential risks to patients' safety that could lead to an adverse outcome.
- Provide customer-friendly care by following quality improvement standards, maintaining professionalism, and initiating and maintaining positive relationships with departments, coworkers, and external customers.
- Provide care in various clinical settings with diverse patient populations, identifying specific needs and implementing patient-centered care.
- Function as a clinical leader, delegating and coordinating staff assignments and promoting staff development.
- Responsible for the utilization and continued review of patient care protocols, standards of practice, and standards of care, providing input into process improvement.
- Licensed to practice in the state of Michigan, with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- May be required to have professional knowledge of psychiatric nursing theory, as required through completion of education from an accredited school of nursing.
- Satisfactory previous clinical experience.
This position is onsite and may require both weekend and holiday hours.
