Key Responsibilities

As a Food Service Worker, your primary duties will include:

  • Preparing, presenting, and serving food as needed.
  • Performing prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
  • Weighing and measuring designated ingredients.
  • Carrying pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stoves, and refrigerators while adhering to safety standards.
  • Storing food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
  • Cleaning work areas, equipment, and utensils.
  • Distributing supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
  • Utilizing approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
  • Serving customers in a friendly, efficient manner by following outlined steps of service.
  • Resolving customer concerns and relaying relevant information to supervisors.
  • Ensuring compliance with company service standards, inventory, and cash control procedures.
  • Assuring adherence to all sanitation and safety requirements.
