Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team at Sutter Coast Hospital in Crescent City, California.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse, ICU will provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The ideal candidate will have experience in a critical care setting and possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Perform various medical procedures, such as inserting IV lines, administering medications, and performing EKGs.
- Document patient information, including medical history, medications, and treatment plans, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Current RN licensure in the state of California.
- 2 years of experience in a critical care setting, preferably in an ICU.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 180 days of hire.
- EKG course completion before the end of orientation.
- Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO) completion within 365 days.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Certification in Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN).
- Supervisory or charge experience in a critical care setting.

This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of $15,000 for candidates with 1 year of ICU RN experience.
RNs may be eligible for Loan Repayment Programs through the National Health Service Corps.
