Summary:
Gaining proficiency in delivering high-quality radiographic images and patient support. May involve responsibilities in both primary hospital environments and off-site clinic facilities. Occasional travel may be necessary to provide regional clinic x-ray services.

Conducts standard imaging procedures in Diagnostic Radiology on a scheduled and urgent basis, adhering to departmental quality control and examination data integrity protocols.

Required Education:
Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college program or technical institution or nursing diploma

Recommended Education:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university

Required Work Experience:
Direct - No prior experience necessary

Recommended Work Experience:
Direct - Pediatric experience preferred

Required Certifications:
Basic Life Support CPR for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) - American Heart Association, Radiologic Technologist License (RTL) - Arkansas Department of Health

Recommended Certifications:
R.T.(R) - American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT)

Description


Exhibits growing expertise in proper and acceptable radiographic techniques and positioning, proficiently operating all equipment and preparing the examination room and equipment as required.


Is acquiring the ability to conduct patient screenings with careful consideration of pregnancy, contrast usage, and any contraindications, while understanding and utilizing contrast documentation for contrast examinations.

Utilizes designated communication tools and responds appropriately.

Demonstrates increasing familiarity with all emergency equipment and supplies.

Raises any concerns related to patient care, safety, or satisfaction to supervisors and leadership promptly.

Ensures the work area is maintained in an orderly manner.

Performs additional duties as assigned.
