Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician

Join our team as a Registered Behavior Technician at Norwich Public School District. As a key member of our special education team, you will play a vital role in providing direct behavior analytic services to students with special needs.

Job Summary:

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct behavior analytic services for special education students under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This includes implementing behavior intervention plans, collecting and recording data, and collaborating with educational teams to ensure student success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct behavior analytic services to students with special needs
  • Implement behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition programs
  • Collect, record, and summarize data on student behavior
  • Conduct preference assessments and functional assessment procedures
  • Effectively use contingencies of reinforcement to develop and maintain desired behaviors
  • Assist with training on student behavior intervention programs
  • Conduct treatment integrity checks on established behavior intervention plans
  • Communicate effectively with educational teams regarding student progress
  • Collaborate with parents, paraprofessionals, teachers, and administrators to ensure student success
Requirements:
  • Active RBT certification in good standing with BACB
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with non-behavior analytic providers and team members
Working Conditions:

The Registered Behavior Technician position requires the ability to perform physical demands such as reaching, lifting, standing, walking, and carrying. Occasional exposure to sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather may be required.
