Job Summary

The Senior Architect Technology Innovation will play a key role in identifying and testing new and innovative technologies, as well as exploring new ways to utilize existing technologies to meet the firm's needs. This individual will be passionate about technology and its application to solving business problems, with a strong understanding of various technologies, including web application development, information systems, expert systems, collaboration technologies, search, cloud solutions, and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities
  • Technology Expertise: The successful candidate will have a solid working knowledge of a variety of technologies, including web application development, search, collaboration technologies, Microsoft solution stack, expert systems, database & report design, artificial intelligence, and IA/UX principles.
  • Collaboration and Communication: The ability to collaborate across multiple business units, explain complex concepts in simple terms, and communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff is essential.
  • Industry Monitoring: The Senior Architect Technology Innovation will continuously monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive developments to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Technology Pilots: This role will conduct technology pilots and build out prototypes or proof of concept solutions to validate the feasibility and effectiveness of new technologies.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of professional experience in a global professional services organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer/information science or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with application development, deploying and managing Azure resources, system, application or network architecture, and database design principles.
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence technologies is a plus.
  • Excellent professional presence, business acumen, analytical and conceptual thinking, relationship management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Goal-oriented with high standards for quality and performance, comfortable working in a continually changing environment, and managing multiple competing priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
Compensation and Total Rewards Package

Ropes & Gray offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package to its business support team members, including comprehensive health and well-being benefits, personal and professional development, career growth opportunities, and a collegial and supportive culture.

The anticipated pay range for this role is $140,000 - $211,000 (NY) and $133,500 - $201,000 (Boston and Chicago), with a discretionary bonus based on performance.

Working Conditions

This position requires hybrid on-site presence as an essential function of the role, with consistent and predictable on-site presence required for ongoing business continuity, professional development, and effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
