Position Overview:


The Lead Financial Accountant will take charge of overseeing and managing the comprehensive accounting operations, which include the preparation and analysis of financial documents, conducting account reconciliations, and ensuring adherence to GAAP standards.

This position demands a thorough knowledge of accounting practices, exceptional analytical capabilities, and the aptitude to mentor and guide junior accounting personnel.


Primary Duties:
Supervise and manage daily accounting activities, encompassing journal entries, reconciliations, and maintenance of the general ledger.

Prepare and assess financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

Guarantee compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards in all financial disclosures.

Coordinate and oversee month-end and year-end closing activities.

Examine financial data and deliver insights to facilitate informed decision-making.

Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring precision and promptness.

Review and reconcile intricate accounts, including intercompany transactions, accruals, and prepayments.

Assist in formulating budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.

Support both internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules and addressing auditor inquiries.

Mentor and support junior accounting staff, providing training and guidance as necessary.

Identify potential process enhancements and implement best practices in accounting operations.

Stay informed on updates in accounting regulations and industry standards, ensuring compliance throughout the organization.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

CPA or CMA certification is preferred.

5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a solid grasp of GAAP.

Prior experience in agriculture, manufacturing, or construction sectors is advantageous but not mandatory.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in work.

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Experience in mentoring and leading junior accounting personnel.

High standards of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
