Key Responsibilities
- Greet clients and ascertain their preferences through targeted inquiries.
- Advise on hairstyles and cuts tailored to clients' facial features and personal tastes.
- Shampoo, rinse, and dry clients' hair using suitable products for their specific hair types.
- Utilize professional tools to cut, trim, and shave hair.
- Implement a variety of hair coloring techniques, including highlights, ombre, and balayage.
- Design hairstyles for both special occasions and everyday looks, such as braids, ponytails, and buns.
- Administer hair treatment products as necessary, including color protection creams and hydrating masks.
- Build lasting relationships with loyal clients by remembering their hairstyle preferences.
- Manage appointments and accommodate walk-in clients.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations and sanitize tools as required.
- Promote hair care products or services when appropriate.
- Experience as a Hair Stylist, Hairdresser, Colorist, or in a similar capacity.
- Expertise in hair straightening and curling techniques using hot tools.
- Hands-on experience with diverse coloring methods.
- Knowledge of various haircuts suitable for all lengths.
- Familiarity with hair treatment products and services, including keratin smoothing.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Physical endurance to stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts.
- Valid cosmetology license in New York.
- Hourly pay ranging from $15.00 to $18.00, plus tips.
