Responsibilities

As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT machinery to generate cross-sectional images of patients' anatomy for diagnostic purposes.

  • Positioning patients appropriately for CT scans using necessary immobilization and protective gear
  • Setting equipment controls, monitoring both the equipment and patient, and making adjustments as needed
  • Assisting radiologists during imaging procedures, including starting IVs and administering contrast when required
  • Providing oral contrast to patients for CT examinations
  • Supporting radiologists with interventional CT tasks
  • Evaluating the technical quality of CT images, organizing processed images in the correct sequence, and ensuring proper labeling
  • Scheduling patients for procedures and assisting with clerical duties
  • Documenting procedures and supplies used in patient records
  • Operating power injectors for contrast media administration
  • Delivering high-quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner
  • Maintaining a patient-focused environment that promotes timely and compassionate care
  • Ensuring a safe working environment for both staff and patients, adhering to national patient safety standards
