We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ER Nurse to join our team at Saint Joseph Jessamine RJ Corman Ambulatory Care Center. As a key member of our emergency department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, and contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Emergency Triage and Assessment: Use emergency triage protocol to intake, discharge, or admit patients, prioritizing those with the most critical needs.
- Stabilizing Care: Deliver stabilizing care to emergency patients of all ages, adapting care to changes in patient condition as needed, and collaborating with the ER team to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Cultural Competence: Provide patient care that is sensitive to and consistent with cultural values, beliefs, and customs, utilizing knowledge of cultural differences to promote patient-centered care.
- Documentation and Communication: Document the nursing care plan and changes in the patient's condition, engaging in effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure informed decision-making.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing education and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills, stay current with best practices, and contribute to the growth and development of the ER team.
- Education and Licensure: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, current RN license in the State of Kentucky, and BLS - CPR certification via the American Heart Association.
- Certifications and Training: ACLS - Within 3 months of hire, PALS - Within 6 months of hire, and TNCC - Within 12 months of hire.
- Skills and Abilities: Critical thinking skills, ability to assess changes in patient condition, and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
