Key Responsibilities

The Animal Care Division is looking for dedicated individuals to maintain cleanliness in various animal housing units.

The selected candidate will be tasked with cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing animal enclosures in accordance with established protocols and regulatory standards.

Daily monitoring and upkeep of equipment is essential to ensure proper functionality, along with adherence to procedures for addressing any malfunctions.

Maintain operational records diligently. Following established guidelines, assemble animal housing setups, including bedding and water provisions, which will be sterilized for animals requiring a clean environment.

It is crucial to keep a stock of sanitized cages readily available to meet daily operational needs and any urgent situations.

Unpack and store animal feed and bedding appropriately. Ensure that the workspace remains organized and that necessary supplies are consistently available. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to comprehend and follow both verbal and written instructions
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs comfortably
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, up to one hour
  • Prior experience in cleaning roles
  • Comfortable working alongside animals
  • Ability to disinfect surfaces, including walls and floors, and to routinely check inventory for supplies
  • Proficient in the safe handling and application of cleaning chemicals; must wear protective gear as required
  • Ability to observe and react appropriately to various situations
  • Team-oriented individual who can meet deadlines
  • Experience working in a diverse environment is essential
Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in an animal care facility
Typical Work Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday (8AM - 2PM)
