Responsibilities

We're seeking a Care Coordinator Behavioral Health VA Only to supervise and support adolescents in a therapeutic environment. The ideal candidate will assist each adolescent in working with a group and handling individual problems, administer support and set limits for behavior, and document progress. Essential duties and responsibilities include arriving to work on time, receiving instruction and direction, and practicing safe and legal vehicle practices when operating a company vehicle. The successful candidate will also provide transportation to residents for community outings and meetings, know where all assigned residents are and what they are doing at all times, and practice compliance with all record keeping and documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Arrive to work on time and in a mental and emotional state conducive to providing care in a therapeutic environment
  • Receive instruction and direction in a professionally receptive manner
  • Refrain from behavior that contradicts the provision of therapeutic care
  • Facilitate residential daily schedule and provide support to residents
  • Practice safe and legal vehicle practices when operating a company vehicle
  • Provide transportation to residents for community outings and meetings
  • Know where all assigned residents are and what they are doing at all times
  • Practice compliance with all record keeping and documentation

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will have a degree or GED, and at least 6 months of experience working with children. The successful candidate will also be able to walk, sit, stand, bend, lift, and move constantly during working hours, and have the ability to see and hear.
