Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to support DARPA's Adaptive Capabilities Office (ACO). The ACO collaborates with military services to develop innovative solutions addressing critical national security challenges. This role involves defining and vetting architectural solutions that integrate emerging technologies with new warfighting constructs through modeling, simulation, and experimentation, ultimately enabling joint, highly integrated capability sets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and vet architectural solutions that integrate emerging technologies with new warfighting constructs.
  • Collaborate with military services to develop innovative solutions addressing critical national security challenges.
  • Develop and maintain hybrid software, web, and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance.
  • Integrate various network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices through system specification, design, coding, testing, and maintenance support.
  • Support research and development (R&D) Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
  • Conceive, plan, and conduct research in problem areas of considerable scope and complexity requiring unconventional or novel approaches and sophisticated research techniques.
  • Make decisions independently on research and development (R&D) engineering problems and methods, and resolve important questions and plan and coordinate work.
  • Use advanced techniques, theories, precepts, and practices for each lead of the four functional areas (Intelligence and Mission Capabilities, Architecture, Applications, and Mission Integration).
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • BS in Engineering.
  • Seven (7) years of IT professional experience overseeing the creation of hybrid software, web, and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance.
  • At least seven (7) years of experience integrating various network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices through system specification, design, coding, testing, and maintenance support.
  • At least three (3) years of experience working in DARPA or a similar organization is highly desirable.
