Job Description:

We seek a highly motivated Sales Engineering Intern/CO-OP to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with customers and the sales team to develop and design solar PV systems that meet customer needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze customer utility bills to determine usage, demand, and rate structure/billing details.
  • Review customer facility to determine feasibility of various types of solar mounting solutions.
  • Create solar PV designs based on findings and create energy production models, using industry-specific software to determine the most cost-effective size and energy production.
  • Compile information about current utility bills, solar sizing/cost, and energy production into a report for the sales team to present to the customer.
  • Participate in customer meetings to help educate them on the chosen design.
Requirements:
  • Pursuing an engineering-related degree.
  • Understanding of solar photovoltaic technology.
  • Passionate about renewable energy business, hardworking, independent, and thrive in fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, manual drafting, and electrical line drawings preferred.
  • Familiarity with applicable NEC and IEEE/ANSI standards preferred.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Superior customer service skills (excellent written and verbal communication skills, high emotional intelligence, positive attitude, and service leadership philosophy).
  • Proven problem-solving record desired.
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of integrity and a penchant for high quality.
  • Strong work ethic and self-accountability.
  • Excellent organizational skills: proficient with MS Excel spreadsheets and data management.
Salary Range:

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on market research and industry standards.
