Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Central Montana Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in various settings, including acute care, ICU/CCU, and home medical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform basic interpretation of electrocardiograms and determination of life-threatening arrhythmias
  • Understand and perform advanced cardiac life support protocols, neonatal life support protocols, and pediatric life support protocols
  • Provide consistent and relevant data on patient condition to physicians via respiratory care assessments and consultation with patients
  • Perform intubation procedures successfully
  • Diagnose and treat respiratory conditions using non-invasive cardiac diagnostic equipment, pulmonary function diagnostic equipment, and oximetry trending
  • Draw arterial blood gases, process, perform QA, and proficiency testing
  • Provide home visits, assessments, and consultation to patients on home respiratory products
  • Download and score infant apnea monitor equipment
  • Quickly learn new respiratory care equipment functions and setup
Requirements
  • Graduate of an A.M.A. program
  • Registry Eligible, Must become Registered 2 years after Date of hire
  • Montana Respiratory Care Practitioner License
  • Minimum CRTT certificate
  • Valid Montana Drivers license
  • Advance Cardiac Life Support, Neonatal Advance Life Support, and Pediatric Advance Life Support certifications
Working Conditions

This position requires a significant amount of call, working nights, weekends, and holidays. You must be able to take initiative to maintain a positive image individually and departmentally with all CMMC co-workers, physicians, public, and patients. You must also maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to departmental and facility policies and procedures.

Physical Demands

This position requires heavy exertion, up to 100# occasionally, up to 50# frequently, or up to 20# constantly.
