Humanities Professor

We are seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach Introduction to Humanities I: Ancient to Medieval (HUM 121). This course is offered online, in-person, and in hybrid form. Instructors with experience teaching online or a willingness to be trained in online and/or hybrid instruction are needed.

The successful candidate will plan and prepare a course syllabus, teach all scheduled classes, and evaluate student work. The College of Lake County values diversity and is committed to providing an inclusive learning environment.

Required Qualifications:

• A master's degree in any humanities field or a master's degree including at least 18 graduate credit hours in one humanities field.
• Competency in technologies commonly used in college-level instruction.
• Proven ability to work effectively and constructively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Estimated Salary: $42 per hour, dependent on qualifications and experience. Total Hours per week: approximately 9 hours per class section. Work Schedule: Varies based on section(s) taught. We are an equal opportunity employer and strongly value diversity.
