St. John's Residence for Boys is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our medical department. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our youth residents.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a 35-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, with some overtime and on-call responsibilities as needed. The successful candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and a passion for working with youth.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide routine and emergency medical care to our youth residents, including treatment and medication management.
  • Assume responsibility for the medical department in the absence of the RN and serve as a guide and support to department staff.
  • Collaborate with the RN and other medical staff to ensure compliance with service, treatment, and medication management.
  • Participate in infection control and prevention initiatives, including completion of NYS infection control coursework.
Requirements:
  • Minimum High School diploma required; must hold NYS LPN diploma/certification/licensure.
  • Confirmation of completed NYS infection control coursework is also required.
