Job Summary:This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a 35-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, with some overtime and on-call responsibilities as needed. The successful candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and a passion for working with youth.
Responsibilities:- Provide routine and emergency medical care to our youth residents, including treatment and medication management.
- Assume responsibility for the medical department in the absence of the RN and serve as a guide and support to department staff.
- Collaborate with the RN and other medical staff to ensure compliance with service, treatment, and medication management.
- Participate in infection control and prevention initiatives, including completion of NYS infection control coursework.
- Minimum High School diploma required; must hold NYS LPN diploma/certification/licensure.
- Confirmation of completed NYS infection control coursework is also required.
St. John's Residence for Boys is a small, non-profit, family-style child welfare agency providing care to youth. We are committed to creating a supportive and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.
