Paralegal Opportunity with a Growing Law Firm

$50k - $60K

Birmingham, AL


PangeaTwo's client in Birmingham, AL is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join their litigation team. Prior litigation experience is preferred. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, punctual, and detail-oriented, with excellent typing, organizational, and communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clerical and research support services to attorneys, including document preparation and review, interviewing clients and witnesses, research, investigations, and fact checking, and trial preparation.
  • Draft legal documents, including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories, and file motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures.
  • Organize, store, and retrieve case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items.
  • Develop and maintain records regarding billable hours spent on specific cases.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred.
  • Paralegal certificate preferred.
  • 2+ years of related experience preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team player mentality.
  • Minimum 55 wpm typing speed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe.
