Per Diem CT Technologist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Per Diem CT Technologist to join our team in Marinette, Wisconsin.
Key Responsibilities- Operate CT equipment to perform diagnostic procedures, including basic and intermediate imaging processing.
- Obtain medical history from patients and compare requisitions to physicians' orders to ensure exam accuracy.
- Position patients and select proper scanning factors, adjusting factors to attain the appropriate images and providing radiation protection and safety.
- Prepare and administer contrast media under the direction of the Radiologist, and assist in proper scanning techniques.
- Post-process images as directed and accurately identify and label images with patient information.
- Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies and enter patient and study information into the radiology information system.
- Identify equipment performance issues and perform quality assurance tests and calibration procedures.
- Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
- Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Computed Tomography (CT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 18 months.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
- Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
- No experience required.
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and basic radiation safety.
- Competent in IV and venipuncture (if required by facility).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain accurate records.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist and 20 lbs. over the head.
- Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
