Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate the discipline-specific technical aspects of projects.
  • Recruit and lead construction project teams, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Support design phase constructability and construction sequencing reviews.
  • Develop procedures, tools, and practices for construction phase construction management services.
  • Act as the primary field point of contact with clients, oversight representatives, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with field staff, third-party consultants, utility companies, public agencies, subcontractors, and the general public.
  • Ensure personal safety and the safety of fellow employees by following project and company health and safety guidelines and policies.
  • Direct all field office document controls and record keeping.
  • Oversee construction oversight efforts to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Review material test reports for compliance with specifications.
  • Organize and chair scheduled project progress meetings.
  • Review plans, specifications, and shop drawings to identify and resolve potential problems.
  • Manage construction contractors and other on-site participants associated with the project.
  • Ensure accurate field records are maintained, including daily reports, test reports, and as-built drawings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in discipline-specific engineering or construction management from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 10-12 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 4-5 years of experience successfully executing technical aspects of medium to complex projects, including Alternate Project Delivery (APD).
  • Experience working on large, complex projects with construction values in excess of $500M (transit experience preferred).

Stantec offers a competitive salary range of $133,300 - $200,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
