Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Engine Technician Apprentice to join our team at Cummins Inc. in West Valley City, UT.

This is a unique opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in diesel engine technology while working with a leading manufacturer in the industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of diesel engines and related equipment
  • Participate in on-the-job training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Collaborate with experienced technicians and managers to ensure high-quality work and customer satisfaction
  • Meet the requirements for the U.S. Department of Labor Trade Certificates for Diesel Engines and Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree in Automotive and Diesel Technology
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred
  • 2.8 GPA or higher in high school or college; 22 ACT score or higher
  • Ability to work with small hand tools and maintain overall safety
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Current valid driver's license and 2 years of driving experience
  • 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
