Youth Counselor

NFI Massachusetts Inc., a non-profit human services agency, is seeking an Overnight Juvenile Justice Youth Counselor for our program located in Peabody, MA.

Our program is a residential DYS program for adolescent males (ages 13-20) referred by the MA Department of Youth Services. The program structure includes classes 5.5 hours per day, individual and group counseling, life skills and pre-vocational skills training. The ultimate goal of the program is rehabilitation followed by supported community reintegration.

• Provide direct care to youth served within the program
• Work with teenagers, set limits, and adhere to program policies and procedures
• Participate in a team setting to provide support, mentoring, guidance, and positive role modeling

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal/Juvenile Justice preferred
• Experience working with teenagers or a similar population
• Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
• Must be 21 years of age
