Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team at Visionworks of America. As a Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing patient records, and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets and assists customers, answering questions and providing information as needed.
  • Schedules appointments and verifies insurance coverage.
  • Maintains accurate patient records and performs preliminary testing data collection as directed.
  • Handles medical coding, insurance research, and billing tasks.
  • Provides administrative support to the medical team, including answering phones and responding to patient inquiries.
  • Cleans and maintains the reception area, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Offers current promotions and pricing guidelines to customers, discussing benefits and features of the discount club card.
  • Maintains outside and internal Doctor Referral log for medical patients.
Requirements
  • One year of experience in a medical office setting, preferably in an optical environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with 1-5 years of related job experience.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients and staff.
  • Ability to work under stress, with interruptions and deadlines.
  • Ability to use computer effectively and view computer screen.
  • Exhibit empathy in all interactions.
