UTS is seeking a qualified and experienced Journeyman Electrician or Wireman to handle various electrical projects in residential and light commercial settings. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and a clean driving record.

Qualifications:

• Valid Journeyman's or Wireman License in Texas
• Experience in Residential Electrical Services
• Strong Customer Service Skills
• 5+ years of Electrical Experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to establish the layout of electrical systems.
• Conduct tests on electrical systems and components to ensure functionality and safety.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and execute necessary repairs or replacements.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project completion on schedule and within budget.
• Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times.

Essential Skills:

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong knowledge of electrical principles and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Experience with low voltage systems.
• Familiarity with testing procedures.
• Competence in using various power tools and hand tools relevant to the trade.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Job Type:

Contract position, 1099 employee with potential for transition to W2 employee with benefits and overtime.

Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: $35.00, based on experience, paid weekly.
• Mileage reimbursement available for personal vehicle use.

Work Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts.
