About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Photography Assistant to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a Photography Assistant, you will play a crucial role in coordinating, producing, and delivering high-quality photography content that aligns with our university's goals and brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and produce photography content for digital, print, and social media channels.
  • Provide general support and onsite photo support for priority initiatives.
  • Respond to photo assignments and project requests in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Assist the Director of Enrollment Marketing, Photo and Video Production Manager, and creative producers on other projects as necessary.
  • Complete post-production and editing of photo content in a timely and efficient manner using Adobe Lightroom.
  • Assign relevant keywords and tags to image metadata.
  • Maintain and update the University Photography archive.

Requirements:

  • Prior photography experience and a basic understanding of processing photos using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position, and students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate). Students must also have a 2.0 or better cumulative GPA.
