At Gerber Collision & Glass, we are seeking a highly skilled Auto Body Repair Specialist to join our team. As a vital member of our repair facility, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer experiences through the meticulous assessment and quality repair of each vehicle.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $90,000 - $140,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with a passion for collision repair to work in a fast-paced environment. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Executing the WOW plan to consistently deliver high-quality repairs;
  • Planning repair work, preparing cost estimates for customers, and utilizing various tools to repair vehicle sections;
  • Hammers out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage, mixes and applies filler resins when necessary, realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage;
  • Removing damaged vehicle sections and replacing them with new or aftermarket parts, repairing glass and windshields as needed, and replacing interior parts;
  • Welding and attaching parts, preparing and repainting vehicles with factory-specified paint or equivalent;
  • Inspecting vehicles after repair to ensure all work has been executed correctly;

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent;
  • SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF TECHNICAL SCHOOL PROGRAM OR A 3-YEAR APPRENTICESHIP AS AN AUTO BODY REPAIRER;
  • Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision, ability to work with other repairers within the auto body shop;
  • Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies, thorough understanding of how to use required tools.
