Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at GEI Consultants. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of structural engineering analysis and design tasks for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform structural condition surveys, including non-destructive testing to document existing conditions and identify the type, cause, and extent of structural issues or deterioration.
  • Develop condition survey reports and evaluate existing structures.
  • Prepare drawings and specifications, cost estimates, and bid documents for new construction and the repair of existing structures.
  • Perform site visits and document the progress of work and compliance with the design intent.
  • Prepare proposals and develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Requirements:
  • B.S. or M.S. in Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • PE license in New York State required.
  • 15 or more years of experience in structural design and structural investigations.
  • Experience with NYC/NYS Building Codes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
