About This RoleThis position is responsible for generating revenue by selling environmental analytical services to existing and prospective customers. The successful candidate will be an expert in business development or client service, possessing a passion for solution-based selling. You will manage a portfolio of clients, build long-term relationships, and drive revenue growth through proactive lead identification and qualification.
Main Responsibilities- Identify business leads through continuous interaction across the Environmental community, utilizing your expertise in market conditions and industry trends.
- Proactively target and initiate contact with prospective customers, assessing potential opportunities for partnership and collaboration.
- Develop a robust network of industry contacts, continually qualifying market conditions and staying up-to-date with industry developments.
- Through active probing and listening, conduct discovery sessions with qualified leads to identify client needs and determine potential opportunities for SGS services.
- Work closely with prospects to develop a compelling value proposition, aligning SGS services with their goals and objectives.
- Influence and promote the expansion or establishment of business opportunities through strategic partnering relationships with potential customers and coordinated efforts with other SGS business lines.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Chemistry, Biology, or Environmental science.
- 5 years of experience in technical sales, project management, or customer service.
- Strong leadership, self-initiative, and resource utilization skills.
- Solid critical thinking skills to anticipate and solve problems in a systematic manner.
- Advanced English language skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
