About the Role:Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced hospitality leader to join our team as an Executive Housekeeper at La Quinta Bardstown. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.

Responsibilities:
  1. Room Assignments: Assign rooms to housekeepers based on availability, considering factors like occupancy rates and guest preferences
  2. Supply Management: Manage storage areas to maintain adequate housekeeping supplies, ensuring seamless operations
  3. Checkout Monitoring: Verify guest check-outs and update records to prevent over-occupancy and optimize cleaning schedules
  4. Room Inspections: Conduct regular room inspections to ensure cleanliness and accuracy, updating records accordingly
  5. Front Desk Collaboration: Collaborate with front desk staff to confirm guest check-outs and resolve any issues related to room assignments or billing
  6. Lost and Found: Maintain accurate lost and found records, reporting items to the relevant teams and marking them with room numbers and dates
  7. La Quinta Policies: Adhere to La Quinta's employee handbook, code of conduct, policies, and procedures
  8. Cart Maintenance: Supervise housekeepers in loading carts with necessary supplies, labeling bottles correctly, and maintaining cart cleanliness
  9. Performance Evaluation: Evaluate housekeeper performance, focusing on average time spent per room and providing constructive feedback for improvement
  10. Teamwork: Partner with the maintenance team daily to discuss work priorities and allocate tasks effectively
  11. Scheduling: Ensure housekeepers adhere to scheduled working hours and utilize time clocks accurately
  12. Cleanliness Walk-throughs: Conduct walk-throughs to inspect hotel cleanliness, including parking lots, sidewalks, and trash cans
  13. Linen Inventory: Verify linen inventory levels to meet overnight guest demands
  14. Training: Provide training to new housekeepers through example, observation, demonstration, and constructive feedback
  15. Termination: Terminate underperforming housekeepers as necessary
  16. Training Programs: Complete required training programs, including bloodborne pathogens and bed bug awareness
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role within housekeeping
  • Guest service experience

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs., along with ability to walk and stand up to 100% of shift
  • At least 3-5 years of hospitality experience is preferred
