About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Psychologist to join our team at Amergis. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing direct psychological services to university students and clients associated with our Embrace Center for Advancing Inclusive Communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Psychological Evaluations: Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including psychological and psycho-educational assessments, to identify students' needs and develop effective intervention plans.
  • Clinical Consultations: Provide clinical consultations to campus community constituents, including students, faculty, and staff, to address mental health concerns and promote well-being.
  • Crisis Assessments and Intervention: Conduct crisis assessments and provide intervention services to students in need, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Clinical Supervision and Training: Provide clinical supervision and training to interns, doctoral students, and post-doctoral fellows, promoting their professional growth and development.
  • Education and Outreach: Develop and present educational programs, seminars, and workshops to students, faculty, and staff, promoting mental health awareness and education.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships: Collaborate with internal and external partners to promote the well-being of students and the university community.
Requirements
  • Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology: Hold a doctorate from an APA-accredited Clinical or Counseling Psychology program with an APA-accredited internship.
  • Licensed Psychologist: Be a licensed psychologist in the State of Florida with at least six years of experience.
  • Florida DOH Qualified Supervisor Certification: Possess Florida DOH Qualified Supervisor Certification.
