Job Title:
Mailroom Clerk

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mailroom Clerk to provide mail services for our established mail routes and special deliveries/courier duties as necessary. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Sort, deliver, pickup, and process all US and interoffice mail as required for each location.
• Look up and redirect misaddressed mail.
• Perform special delivery runs as needed.
• Report sample pickup/delivery as scheduled.
• Operate mailroom equipment safely and efficiently.
• Understand, update, and record changing mail stops and mail routes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid State Driver's License.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Physical Demands:
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:
The employee must be able to take verbal and written instructions and carry out any other responsibility assigned by management. The employee must be able to follow written procedures covering items such as mail route delivery, mail stop updates, trainings, and emergency procedures. The employee must be able to arrive on time for work and may be required to work overtime.
