Invoice Processor

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Invoice Processor to join our team at Owen Electric Company, Inc. As an Invoice Processor, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify invoices and check requests.
• Sort, code, and match invoices.
• Set invoices up for payment.
• Enter and upload invoices into the system.
• Track expenses and process expense reports.
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
• Maintain vendor files.
• Assist with month-end closing.
• Provide supporting documentation for audits.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance a plus.
• Proven working experience as an Invoice Processor or similar role.
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
• Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
