Sigma Healthcare Cath Lab Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technician to join our team at Sigma Healthcare. As a Cath Lab Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catheterization laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform duties in compliance with universal precaution and infection control guidelines.
  • Adhere to department standards for on-call coverage and ensure timely response to emergencies.
  • Obtain and verify patient history and consents, review lab results, and verify patient identification prior to procedures.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, exam rooms, and work areas to ensure efficiency and patient safety.
  • Utilize computer systems and software within hospital guidelines to document patient information and chart procedures.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology, Invasive Cardiovascular Technology, Paramedic Program, or Respiratory Therapist Program.
  • 1 year of experience in a related field, preferably in a cardiac or special procedure setting.
  • Current ARRT certification and BLS certification.
  • Previous travel experience is a plus.
