Position Objective

The Academic Program Coordinator is a pivotal leadership role at Clover Park Technical College, tasked with steering curriculum development, assessment strategies, and faculty mentorship. This position is integral in guiding faculty through collaborative pathways and supporting various instructional divisions.

The ideal candidate will engage with committees focused on outcomes and assessments, working closely with deans and fellow educators to fulfill essential responsibilities. Additionally, the candidate will promote diversity and foster an inclusive educational environment.

**Equivalent to 5 credits per quarter and $1000 Annual Stipend**

Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Curriculum Oversight

Responsibilities include:
  • Facilitating faculty in the design, execution, and revision of curricula to meet educational outcomes and maintain relevance.
  • Assisting faculty in the completion of assessment reports and ensuring compliance with institutional standards.
  • Leading training sessions focused on outcomes and assessment for faculty members.
Committee Participation

Responsibilities include:
  • Engaging in shared governance by serving on committees beyond standard faculty duties, including the faculty lead taskforce and assessment committees.
Additional Responsibilities

Tasks may include, but are not limited to:
  • Evaluating curriculum proposals for accuracy and completeness.
  • Providing constructive feedback on assessment reports.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of program-related information such as course schedules, catalogs, and syllabi.
  • Collaborating with students to address and resolve concerns informally.
  • Other duties as assigned.
