The Integrated Registered Dental Hygienist plays a vital role in providing comprehensive oral health care services to patients at Hunter Health Clinic. This position requires a skilled professional who can work collaboratively with other healthcare providers to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide independent patient care and dental services, assessing dental conditions and needs using approved patient screening procedures.
- Integrate dental preventative and hygiene services with other healthcare professionals involved in patient care management.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records.
- Assist with emergency measures during treatments and perform preventative oral health presentations at various locations.
- Travel to satellite clinic locations and local schools as needed to meet operational requirements.
- Contribute to organizational and departmental goals by performing tasks and assisting with training and development programs.
- Assist with the development of Hunter Health Clinic and community dental hygiene outreach and education programs.
- Attend dental hygiene continuing education to ensure continued learning and provide information to department leaders.
- Treat the required number of encounters and users as designated.
- Perform various clinical and administrative functions as directed by leadership.
