About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to serve as a 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent in Pike County. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering research-based educational programs to youth and adults in the county, focusing on youth development, leadership, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational programs for youth and adults, focusing on youth development, leadership, and community engagement.
  • Collaborate with local stakeholders, including schools, community organizations, and businesses, to promote 4-H programs and services.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to 4-H volunteers, youth, and families, promoting positive youth development and community engagement.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in youth development and extension education, applying this knowledge to program development and implementation.
  • Manage and maintain program records, reports, and evaluations, ensuring accurate and timely data collection and analysis.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as youth development, education, or a related field.
  • Experience working with youth and adults in a program or educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel throughout the county, with occasional overnight stays.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
