Key Responsibilities:
- Lead incident response initiatives and communicate updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Stay informed about current vulnerabilities and the strategies for response and mitigation in cybersecurity operations.
- Generate reports and briefs that accurately reflect the current threat landscape and associated risks.
- Investigate cyber activities targeting client information and infrastructure.
- Provide mentorship and technical training to Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT) personnel.
- Collaborate with other governmental cyber threat analysis entities, including inter-agency Cyber Threat Working Groups.
- Analyze and report on cyber threats while assisting in the detection, identification, monitoring, investigation, and analysis of computer network intrusions.
- Ensure compliance with customer-required Information Assurance training.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- A minimum of 8 years of directly relevant experience.
- Current expertise in AWS security solutions and cloud security investigations.
- Recent incident response experience utilizing Splunk.
- Prior experience in penetration testing (red/blue/purple teams).
- Background in security investigations (OS Forensics, Network Forensics, Web Application Forensics, Cloud Forensics, etc.).
- Experience as a Linux/Windows/Network administrator.
- Ability to work collaboratively across various agencies and locations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Required Education: A bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, security operations, computer science, or a related specialized field; or a High School Diploma with 18 years of directly relevant experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active/current Top-Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
- Must be eligible for DHS suitability prior to employment.
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience in detecting, responding to, mitigating, and reporting cyber threats affecting client networks.
- Experience in computer intrusion analysis and incident response.
- Familiarity with computer network surveillance and monitoring.
- Knowledge of network protocols, devices, multiple operating systems, and secure architectures.
- Understanding of computer evidence seizure, forensic analysis, and data recovery.
- Experience with system log analysis.
- Current experience in network intrusion detection and response operations (Protect, Defend, Respond, and Sustain methodology).
- Familiarity with the tactics, techniques, and procedures used to infiltrate computer networks.
- Current experience with AWS security solutions and cloud security investigations.
Desired Certifications:
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP), or similar certification.
- Skill Level 1 certification (SANS GCIH or equivalent).
- Skill Level 2 certification (SANS GCFA, GCFR, or equivalent).
- Splunk Power User or higher.
- AWS Certified Practitioner or higher.
