Senior Post-Surgical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Senior Post-Surgical Nurse Specialist at Williamson Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for coordinating, implementing, and planning patient care in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments on all patients within the appropriate time frame upon admission.
- Plan individualized patient care based on identified problems/needs, nursing diagnoses, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems, and attainable outcomes.
- Function independently with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to areas, adhering to policy, procedure, and competency-based assessment.
Requirements:
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee.
- BLS within 90 days of hire.
- For 3rd floor telemetry unit: Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire and ACLS within 6 months of hire.
- For float pool and float pool extended: Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire, ACLS within 6 months of hire, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire.
Work Environment:
- Adult medical/surgical unit with patient population ranging from adolescent to > 99 years of age.
- Pediatric medical/surgical unit with patient population ranging from neonate to 21 years of age.
- Critical Care unit with patient population ranging from adolescent to > 99 years of age.
Physical Effort:
- Able to communicate in English verbally and legibly.
- Prolonged standing and working for up to twelve hours a day.
Estimated Salary:
$65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
