Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Love My Nurse. As an Occupational Therapist with our organization, you will work closely with patients in their residences providing individualized rehabilitative care.
About the Role- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical conditions, including medical history, mobility, strength, and range of motion assessments.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on evaluation findings, in consultation with the interdisciplinary team, to address patients' specific needs and goals.
- Provide therapeutic interventions and exercises to improve mobility, promote pain management, enhance physical strength, and restore functional abilities.
- Instruct patients and their families on appropriate exercises, functional training techniques, and safety measures to enhance the progress made during in-home therapy sessions.
- Monitor patients' progress and regularly reassess treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes and adjust as needed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to ensure coordinated and holistic care is provided.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all therapy services provided, including evaluation reports, progress notes, and discharge summaries, according to agency guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to establish rapport, address concerns, and ensure a collaborative approach to the care plan.
- Adhere to ethical, legal, and professional standards, including maintaining patient confidentiality, practicing within the scope of practice, and participating in continued professional development activities.
- A valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Kansas.
- A Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Prior experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a home health or related setting.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and methodologies.
We offer a competitive salary of $53.00 to $59.00 per visit, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes:

- Two weeks of vacation time per year, increasing to four weeks after one year of service.
- A mileage/travel allotment of $0.585 per mile for travel inside a service area and a minimum of $50.00 travel allotment when providing care in another service area.
